Starseed Medicinal Inc. Signs Supplier Agreement With Shoppers Drug Mart

Today, Starseed Medicinal Inc. has announced that it has entered into an agreement to become a medical cannabis supplier to Shoppers Drug Mart.

Subject to Health Canada’s approval of Shoppers Drug Mart’s application to be a licensed producer, under the terms of the agreement Starseed will supply Shoppers Drug Mart with Starseed branded medical cannabis products.  It is expected the products will be sold online, as Canadian regulations currently restrict the sale of medical cannabis in retail pharmacies.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Canada’s leading pharmacy network,” said Angelo Tsebelis, President of Starseed. “Shoppers Drug Mart has taken a leadership role to validate cannabinoid therapy. We are excited to be working together as Starseed continues to expand its reach in the paid benefit space.”

Starseed is focused on delivering premium medicinal cannabis products through a unique education and service model working closely with benefit plan trustees, insurers and employers.  Starseed is the first licensed producer to establish a strategic partnership with a large private health benefit plan and construction union, supplying cannabis to a committed customer base that is vulnerable to chronic pain, opioid dependency and other ailments.
